Church History

Founded in 1937 and the Clark family dedicated the "Walter Clark Memorial Community Church" in honor of Walter Miller Clark who lost his life in the sinking of the Titanic in 1912. The Clark family was instrumental in the development of the Lakewood and Long Beach land since prior to World War II. As many families moved to the area during the World War II era, there was tremendous growth in the church family.

From the beginning there have been 4 ministers. Our current minister, Richard Irving, has served the church for 10 years. Preceeding him were: Oscar Perry Bell, Chappy Hall, and Roger Lautzenhiser.
