Hello to all!
Our summer has seemed to come and go so quickly. We've had an exciting and fun-filled summer. We thank YOU, our fellow church family for your support and prayers!
We have had the privilege of watching our Jr. High program grow in spirit and numbers... Just to give you an idea - last September this Jr. High group started meeting with 2 children. We have now grown to about 12 to 15 children who attend regularly! God is awesome! Laura and I are so excited about sharing the Word of God with our community. Please remember all are welcome! If you know anyone who is in 6th, 7th or 8th grade, there is a place for them upstairs!! Every Sunday morning and Sunday night!
July was a great month with our trip to Wild Rivers, movie nights and Bible study! August started off with Vacation Bible School! Laura Dowell headed this up with the Jr. High children and it was a great success. Then Laura cracked the whip on our "Give Back" day in August. The children (alogn with a few parents) cleaned the tables and chairs in the Social Hall, just in time for Betty Whyte's 90th birthday party! Thank you to all the kids (and parents) who joined in.
We also had a Beach Day at the end of August. A great day to mark the end of summer!
We look forward to the Ice Cream Social in September 26 at 3 p.m.
The Jr. High Youth will be helping out with this event!
Again, we ask that you keep us in your prayers!
There is one more person we would like to thank! That is Kathy Warren! She is very loyal to our group, baking fresh cookies or brownies and dropping them off on Sunday night! I often find the kids looking in the kitchen for her platter of goodies along with her note! Thank you Kathy!!
