Diana Smith Teacher Room 3
Mrs. Smithis so excited to start her first year teaching at Lakewood Village. Mrs. Smith joined our team last year as a substitute and has over 14 years experience teaching little ones. She has been happily married to her husband Jon for almost 9 years and has 2 daughters Brooklyn and Mackenzie that both attend Lakewood Village. When Mrs. Smith is not at the preschool, she loves to spend time with her family. She enjoys anything outdoors, especially the beach and the river in the summer months. She is truly looking forward to meeting all the kiddos and their families this year.

Joanne Luyben
Teacher Room 2
Mrs. Luyben’s journey at Lakewood Village began in 1994 when her son attended preschool here. She has been a member of our teaching team for 15 years and is dedicated to preparing her young students for the next step in their education. Mrs. Luyben enjoys traveling, baking, walking her 2 dogs, relaxing at the beach, and dancing. Her favorite thing to do is spend family time with her husband of 36 years, their 2 adult children, and2 adorable grandchildren

Jeannie O’Flaherty
Room 1
Mrs. O’Flaherty has been a teacher at LVCCNS for 23 years, beginning when her son was a student at the school. She teaches Pre-K and has a passion for helping her students learn the skills necessary to succeed in kindergarten.
When she isn’t teaching, she enjoys going to Jazzercise, reading, browsing on Pinterest and spending time with her family and friends. She has been married to her husband Kevin for 36 years and is the proud mom of two grown children, Shannon and Ryan.

Carolyn Shipley
Teacher Room 4
Mrs. Shipley has been a part of the LVCCNS community since 2001. She started as a parent who sent her two young children through the program and became a part of the staff in 2011 as an Aide/Substitute teacher. Mrs. Shipley was a Production Coordinator for the game show Jeopardy! for fourteen years. Carolyn has been married to her college sweetheart Jay for twenty-seven years and they have three grown children, Emily, Donovan and Abigail. You can find her in the early morning spin classes and body blast classes at the Y and in her garden on the weekends. The LVCCNS community brings her pure joy and lots of laughs!

Katie House
Teacher Room 5
Mrs. House is excited to join the Lakewood Village team! She has been working with children for 16 years. Mrs. House has been married 13 years and has two children that both attended Lakewood Village. When she’s not at work, Mrs. House enjoys reading, camping, and hanging out with her family.

Hannah Massey
Teacher Room 6
Mrs. Massey has been a part of Lakewood Village Nursery School since 1996 when she started her first year of preschool! FUN FACT: Mrs. Massey & Mrs. Dickson’s daughter Alyssa were BFF’s during their two years at preschool. Mrs. Massey adores being able to work alongside her mom, Miss Kim, and loves providing a hands-on experience with her students and watching them evolve.
When she’s not helping mold the minds of the future, she enjoys traveling around the world with her husband, hanging out with her Corgi, and spending time with family and friends.

Kim Black
Aid
Miss Kim’s journey at Lakewood Village Nursery School started 29 years ago when her oldest son Joe attended school. Her middle son Nick and youngest daughter Hannah (Mrs. Massey) shortly followed. Miss Kim met her sweetheart at Millikan high school 35 years ago. She enjoys being a part of the community and seeing the kids smiling faces each morning. When she’s not at work she enjoys traveling, spending time at her little cabin in Lake Arrowhead and being with her family and grandson in her newly built beach home.
