MAKE LAKEWOOD VILLAGE COMMUNITY CHURCH YOUR NEW CHURCH HOME
Serving the small part of Long Beach called Lakewood Village
While our name has changed throughout our 80+ history what we do has stayed the same. Our Village Church is an independent congregation of Christians from many different backgrounds who have found love, common ground, fellowship, loyalty and purpose through the person and teachings of Jesus Christ. In 1937, our church founding members had to take a big breath before saying our official church name, The Walter E. Clark Memorial Church of Lakewood Village. At one point it got even longer and became The Walter Miller Clark Memorial Community Church of Lakewood. Finally, in 1957, the official name was shortened since the name was deemed too lengthy, it then became Lakewood Village Community Church. Many of us have gotten used to calling us LVCC for short. During our expansion in 1966 our members got it right when then just called us "The Village Church" and some still do today. Join us and bring a friend as we strive to provide a church home, open to all, expressing our love of God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; through worship, education, fellowship, and service to the community and the world.
