What to Expect for Sunday Service
Parking
For Sunday services visitors are able to park in the area of street parking in front of the church on E. Centralia or along the side on Sunfield Ave. Established in 1937, as Long Beach developed what is now the community of Lakewood Village, our church parking became restricted to mostly street parking. If you visit the church on a weekday please read carefully street parking restrictions signs or use the church rear parking area.
Worship
We have two different services.
Morning Service - 9:30 am
Expect to sing along to traditional, contemporary and modern worship songs presented by our organist, choir and soloists. Throughout the year you also will be treated to our wonderful handbell choir and other special music.
Evenings at 6:00 pm
Expect to be led in praise and worship by Pastor Steve Boggan.
How Should I Dress?
It is our church hope that our guests are comfortable. For some this means coming in their Sunday best and others a very casual attire works for them. What you should expect to see is a variety each Sunday. Please come as you are and know all are welcome.
Sunday School
At our Sunday morning 9:30 service parents can meet our Sunday school leaders to check-in at the playground gate next to the Garden Room doors.. We encourage new parents to come a bit early to meet the leaders, visit the class rooms, and ask any questions they may have. While we do provide Sunday school we want our visitors to know children are always welcome in the sanctuary during service.
